Our Leadership

Lesleigh “LIU” Irish-Underwood is an award-winning executive, brand builder, and social-impact leader whose career centers on expanding access, strengthening community outcomes, and helping institutions earn trust at scale. As the Executive Director of the Goalsetter Foundation, LIU leads a national organization committed to ensuring every young person in America knows they are worthy of wealth—and is equipped with the knowledge and tools to build it.

At the intersection of education, economic mobility, and culture, LIU leads the Foundation’s strategy and growth—mobilizing schools, community partners, philanthropic, and corporate supporters to bring game-based, life-altering financial literacy to young people across the country. Guided by the Foundation’s priority areas—Financial Fluency for All, Tangible Outcomes for All, and Financial Freedom for All—her focus is on building real-world capability: helping young people learn the language of money, form healthy financial habits, and develop the confidence to see themselves as future savers, investors, entrepreneurs, and leaders.

Through the Goalsetter Foundation’s programs and partnerships, young people are building measurable financial capability—showing strong gains in knowledge, confidence, and real-world application. The Foundation’s approach is designed to move beyond awareness to action, helping students develop practical money habits and decision-making skills they can carry into adulthood.

The Foundation’s work is strengthened by the broader Goalsetter ecosystem—an innovative financial education platform that meets young people and families where they are, pairing learning with action and reinforcing “learn it now, use it today” money skills.

LIU’s leadership has been recognized by organizations including LinkedIn, Crain’s New York Business, and Diversity Woman, and she is known for building modern external affairs engines—where storytelling, partnerships, and resource development work together to accelerate mission and measurable impact.
